Chaplin under the stars
The only thing better than watching a Chaplin film by yourself is watching one with an audience. And, as is true with most films, watching a film with lots of other people is almost always better done outside on a warm summer's eve. I hadn't seen The Gold Rush since I was about 8 or 9, when my grandma introduced my brother and me to Chaplin's comic genius. And you know - it's just as funny to adult Kaia as it was to child Kaia, although I think I understood more of the plot this time 'round.
